Local poet, Anthea Davis-Barclay, is looking to commission an illustrator to work on The Bedford River Project: a multi-disciplinary arts project collaborating with diverse communities in Bedford to celebrate the river Great Ouse through a range of art-led activities.

The illustrator will be responsible for creating a river map, images for school packs and contributing to an anthology.

This project runs from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024 and key milestones and deadlines within that timescale will be identified on appointment.

How to apply?

Please write a short statement about yourself, why you’d like to be considered for this commission along with a few examples of your work. Signposting to existing links is welcome. Please send your application to hello@antheaspeaks.com

Due to the nature of the project, Anthea would like to especially invite Bedfordshire-based emerging artists from diverse backgrounds to apply.

Applications close on the 28th May.
