Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council have announced two funds for the cultural sector:

 

Bedford Borough Council

UK Shared Prosperity Fund

 

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is part of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.

 

The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in:

  • Communities and Place
  • Supporting Local Business
  • People and Skills
  • Bedford Borough has been allocated £2,296,175 of funding.

Central Bedfordshire Council

UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Culture Grant Scheme

 

Grants ranging from £500 to £40k are available to organisations and individuals in the Central Bedfordshire cultural sector.

 

The grants are aimed at enhancing the lives of local people by having more opportunities to take part in and enjoy arts and cultural experiences.

 

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Culture Grant Scheme is a new initiative demonstrating our commitment to nurturing artistic talent, championing grassroots arts and culture projects, and helping the cultural sector thrive.
