The team behind Creative Bedfordshire is committed to protecting the personal information of all visitors to this website.  We will comply with all applicable requirements of applicable Data Protection Laws in the UK.

Who We Are

Creative Bedfordshire is managed by an informal consortium of partners.  You can read about the partners on our About Us page.

This website is moderated by Bedford Creative Arts, Spectacularts, The Place Bedford (Bedford Players Trust) and the University of Bedfordshire.  These partners have Admin access to the website for the purposes of setting up the functionality of the site and approving posts by users.  

The website is hosted and designed by SixCircles who are contracted to deliver services to Bedford Creative Arts on behalf of Creative Bedfordshire.    

All of the parties involved in managing Creative Bedfordshire have agreed to abide by the terms of this Privacy Policy and the website’s Terms of Use.

What we do with your information

We will use your information to allow you to sign up and register for the services that we provide.  

We provide a web platform that allows you to create your own profile and connect to other people in the Creative Bedfordshire community.  You may use your profile to upload content for the purposes of sharing news and events in accordance with our Terms of Use.  

We compile statistics about user trends on our website, which are used by third party organisations to understand how users interact with the site. These statistics are drawn from a dataset which does not contain any information from which you can be identified.

Information we collect from you

We will collect and process the following information about you:

Information you give us - this is information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. It includes any information that is inputted on your registration form and any user information that is upload through the web platform.  We will only request from you the minimum data required for you to use our service. The information we require from you to register for our services will include your full name, your address, your email, your telephone number, a password, location data and (if you choose to provide it) your date of birth.   

Information we collect about you – Whenever you visit our site we will automatically collect the following information:

information about your visit - this includes the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to through and from our site (including date and time), pages you have visited, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain page and page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs).

Personal data may be retained for up to 6 years following initial collection of the personal data and any further period during which the processing is required pursuant to applicable Data Protection Laws or any other applicable law.

Where we hold your information and how we secure it 

Your data is held on servers managed by our Third Party Data Processor, Six Circles.  Six Circles may transfer personal data outside of the UK as required for the purposes of the processing and ensures that all such transfers are effected in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws.

Six Circles shall ensure that it  has  in  place  appropriate  technical  and  organisational  measures to  protect  against  unauthorised  or  unlawful  processing  of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data.  Six Circles ensure that all personnel who have access to and/or process personal data are obliged to keep the personal data confidential and will notify Bedford Creative Arts  without  undue  delay  on  becoming  aware  of  a  personal  data  breach involving the personal data.

Bedford Creative Arts and its fellow website Admins will not store, download or retain any personal data processed via Six Circles through the website.   

Your rights regarding your personal information

We may contact you via email with updates about the services that we offer or any changes that we have made to our website.

On registering with the site you can opt-in to receive weekly news updates by email.  You can opt in or out at any time by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in our emails or changing your preferences in your web platform profile.  

Our website may, from time to time, contain links to and from external websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites and any services that may be accessible through them have their own privacy policies and that we are not responsible or liable for these policies or for any personal data that may be collected through these websites or services.

Access to Information

You have the right to find out about what information we hold about you. You can exercise that right by contacting Six Circles and they will send you any request for information in a suitable electronic form within 20 working days.  Please contact support@sixcircles.co.uk

You also have the right ‘to be forgotten’ and to have your personal data permanently deleted from our systems.  Again, if you would like to exercise this right then please contact support@sixcircles.co.uk

There will be no charge made for electronic access to your information or for your right to be forgotten from our systems.
