Bedford Creative Arts is offering this exciting entry-level position, ideal for someone just starting their career in the arts or changing career direction.   

The role is a full time, fixed term position for 2 years.

Whether you’re interested in producing creative projects, marketing, arts administration, performance art, visual art, working with communities or not yet sure– this role will give you a taste of a variety of future careers across a dynamic range of projects.   

The role will balance desk work with hands-on deliveryYou will support the Company & Projects Manager in providing administrative and practical support to our broad range of arts projects – from large digital commissions to workshops in schoolsThis will include working on project plans, contracts, correspondence, and meeting and speaking to a wide range of peopleYou’ll also support our marketing staff by creating digital content, updating social media and websites and promoting our activities. 

You’ll shadow senior members of the team and be supported with a broad training programme.    

We’re looking to meet someone with energy, keen to learn and keen to help us learn from you about what you can bring to the team. We want someone interested in getting experience of back-office functions and practical delivery, happy to get their hands dirty when needed but also not afraid of a photocopier.

Terms and Conditions   

 

Hours of Work: This position is offered full time (37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri) however we are happy to consider students who may want to balance work with studies      

 

Contract: This is a fixed -term employment contract until 31st May 2026 (2 years) with a 3 month probationary period.   

Salary: The post is offered at a salary of £23,400 p.a.       

Location: You will be required to work from home or at on-site locations in BedfordNo travel expenses allowance will be provided for travel between your home location & Bedford Borough.
