Central Bedfordshire Council are seeking a high quality public art installation to complement the development of a new Community Leisure Centre in Houghton Regis. A budget of up to £20,000 is available to complete the public art project.
Central Bedfordshire Council are commissioning a public art installation for a new Community Leisure Centre which is currently being built on the Kingsland Campus in Houghton Regis: www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/kingsland.
This public art commission offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop and deliver permanent public artwork within a key area of the landscape masterplan to showcase the activities which will be available within the new Community Leisure Centre and celebrate health, fitness and wellbeing. The artwork should be attractive to look at, ideally be multi-functional and be robust in an outdoor environment.
The project invites proposals from artists skilled in delivering high quality community-focused art and offers a budget of up to £20,000. Bids are welcomed via the Council's In-Tend procurement portal.
